LSC Shipmanagement SIA is a fully owned subsidiary of the JSC Latvian Shipping Company. It carries out the duties of full technical management and ensures efficient and safe running of its vessels, offers consultations for the development of shipbuilding projects and assessment of the technical condition of vessels, as well as offering crew management services for oil and chemical tankers.

At present there are 25 modern double hull tankers under technical management of LSC Shipmanagement SIA.

Document of Compliance issued by Lloyd’s Register confirms that the Company is capable of managing oil and chemical tankers in accordance with established safety and quality standards. The Company and all ships comply with specific safety and environment protection requirements of all States worldwide, including U.S. Coast Guard shipping standards and U.S. environment protection legislation – OPA-90, VGP (Vessel General Permit), etc.

Mikkjal Poulsen „LSC Shipmanagement” Managing Director/Chairman of the Management Board

 

Joined LSC Shipmanagement on November 2016 as Managing Director, became a Member of the Management Board and Chairman of the Management Board on December 15, 2016. Started his career as a Deck Officer in Maersk and later tanker company Torm, serving for 25 years at sea and finishing in the position as of Master; came permanently ashore in 2005 joining Torm Singapore Pte. Ltd. Remained with Torm Singapore Pte. Ltd. until 2011, having worked various positions as Superintendent, General Manager and CEO. Moved on to Thome Shipmanagement, Thailand JV as Managing Director. Before joining LSC-SM the last years were spend in South Korea working as Country Manager for Aker Solutions Korea, Drilling Technology.

Started his career as a Deck Officer on tankers with Latvian Shipping Company; served for 17 years at sea finishing in the position of Master. Came ashore in 1998 to further his career with LSCSM as a Marine Superintendent and Safety and Quality Manager until 2003; served as Managing Director of BSM (Latvia) then rejoined LSC Shipmanagement in July 2005 as Senior Marine Superintendent / Ship Inspector and was promoted to Safety and Quality Manager in March 2008 – is additionally responsible for all fleet LSCSM Marine Operations office personnel. Became a Member of the Management Board March, 2014.

Joined LSC Shipmanagement in 1997; initially working in supply and logistics then transferring to the finance department taking up the position of Chief Accountant in December 1999. Everita principally works on National and International tax matters plus overseeing the day to day marine accounting and financial activities associated with Shipmanagement. Everita qualified with first a Bachelor’s degree and then a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of Latvia in Riga.

Joined SIA “LSC Shipmanagement” in August 2010 in the position of Technical Secretary of the Safety and Quality department; from the beginning of 2013 she held the position of Office Manager and in September 2014 she was promoted to the current position - Head of Administration and is in charge for shore personnel, carries out the duties of Shore Personnel Manager, as well as ensures administrative operation of the office. In 2017 acquired the Professional Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) at BA School of Business and Finance Master's study programme "Creative Industries Management".

Her career in “LSC Shipmanagement” started in 2006, during studies, as cadet and Officer in charge of a navigational watch. In 2010 she graduated from the Latvian Maritime Academy and acquired the qualification of a Navigational Officer with qualifications in engineering; after graduation she joined the Fleet Personnel Department of “LSC Shipmanagement” as inspector-referent. Shortly after she was promoted to Personnel Officer, followed by the position of Senior Personnel Officer andc in October 2014 she was appointed the Director of Fleet Personnel department and holds this position ever since. In 2013 she acquired the Professional Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) at the University “Turība”.

Pavels Sevcovs Fleet manager

Joined LSC Shipmanagement in July 2004 as a Technical Superintendent until January 2011 then, promoted to present position of Fleet Manager. Started his career as an Engineer Officer on container vessels and later tankers with Latvian Shipping Company, Interorient, "Reederei F.Laeisz" and "Schulte" served at sea for 12 years finishing in the position of certificated Chief Engineer before leaving to pursue a shore career. Became a Member of the Management Board 2017.
